This is an information page with exactly one function: joining a waitlist. Everything that happens is described here.

Controller

What we store when you sign up

• your email address,
• whether you said you listen or make music,
• the language you used the page in,
• the time of signup and of confirmation.

No name, no salutation, no date of birth. A display name is derived from the part of your address before the @, because the software in use requires such a field.

Where the data is held

In a self-hosted installation of Listmonk on our own server at listmonk.johannessteidle.com. There is no newsletter provider, no sharing with third parties and no transfer outside the EU or Switzerland.

Confirmation in two steps

After submitting you receive an email with a confirmation link. You are only on the list once you click it. If you do not, the address stays unconfirmed and receives nothing further.

Legal basis

Your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw it at any time — via the unsubscribe link in every email, or informally to the address above. On withdrawal the entry is deleted.

How long

Until withdrawal, at the latest until the service launches and one final message about it. Addresses not confirmed within six months are deleted.

What this page does not do

• It sets no cookies.
• It loads no fonts, scripts or content from third-party servers.
• It measures nothing: no analytics, no tracking, no pixels — not in the emails either.

Server logs

The web server logs requests technically, including IP address, to detect abuse of the form and to diagnose faults. These logs are not combined with the waitlist. The basis is the legitimate interest in secure operation, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. A message to the address above is enough. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
